Ⅰ. 厳選されたオーガニックコットン糸を3本撚り合わせた強撚糸を、経糸・緯糸ともに高密度で打ち込んだ綾織素材。強撚糸特有のシャリ感を引き出す特殊加工を施すことで、ワークウェアを想起させる力強い綾目を持ちながらも、毛羽を抑えたシャープでクリーンな表面、上品な光沢と滑らかに流れるドレープを形成。無骨な構造と洗練された表情という二面性を持ち、オーガニックコットンのプリミティブさと、メイド・イン・ジャパンの緻密な設計を共存させた、世界的なハイブランドにも採用される素材。

A twill fabric densely woven in both the warp and weft using three-ply high-twist yarn made from carefully selected organic cotton. A special finishing process enhances the crisp, dry texture characteristic of high-twist yarn, creating pronounced twill lines reminiscent of workwear while maintaining a sharp, clean surface with minimal fuzz, an elegant luster, and a smoothly flowing drape. Combining rugged construction with a refined expression, this material brings together the primitive character of organic cotton and the precision of Made-in-Japan textile engineering—a fabric used by leading global fashion houses.

DESIGN DETAILS ≫

Ⅰ. 左右の身頃に各2本ずつ、左右対称に配置した計4本のタックを、すべて同一方向へ折り込むことで、スコットランドの男性用民族衣装であるキルトの連続するプリーツをパンツの構造へと置換。シンメトリーな配置の中に、流れの方向だけが偏るアシンメトリーを形成した、斬新なデザインとパターンワーク。

Four tucks—two symmetrically positioned on each side—are all folded in the same direction, translating the continuous pleats of the kilt, Scotland’s traditional menswear garment, into the construction of trousers. An innovative design and pattern technique that creates asymmetry through directional flow within a symmetrical arrangement.

Ⅱ. 歴史的な交流を持つスコットランドとメキシコ。その関係性を背景に、スコットランドの伝統衣装であるキルトと、メキシコ系アメリカ人によるチカーノ / ローライダー文化に根差すワークウェアスタイルを融合。思わずハイソックスとスタイリングしたくなるクロップド丈と無骨なディテール群によって、異なる文化圏の男性服を一本のパンツに交差させた、S/STEREらしいサンプリングデザイン。

Against the backdrop of the historical relationship between Scotland and Mexico, the traditional structure of the Scottish kilt is fused with a workwear style rooted in Mexican-American Chicano and lowrider culture. A cropped length that instinctively invites styling with high socks, combined with a series of rugged details, brings menswear from distinct cultural backgrounds together in a single pair of trousers—a distinctly S/STERE approach to sampling design.

Ⅲ. 見えない前開きには、YKK社製の最高級ファスナーEXCELLA®を採用。フロントには、大小二つのボタンが身体の一部を共有するかのようにつながった「CONJOINED BUTTONS」を配置。“conjoined twins［結合双生児］”を連想させる、単なる重なりを超えた一体構造により、無機質なボタンに宿る生物的な異様さを表現。3Dプリンターによって一つずつ成形した、S/STEREオリジナルボタン。

The concealed front opening uses EXCELLA®, YKK’s highest-grade zipper. At the front sits the “CONJOINED BUTTONS,” two buttons of different sizes connected as though sharing part of the same body. Inspired by conjoined twins, their integrated structure goes beyond mere overlap, giving an inorganic button a sense of biological uncanniness. Each button is individually formed using a 3D printer as an original S/STERE component.
